+254 721 713 325None at all. A tandem flight is flown by a professional pilot who handles the launch, the flight and the landing. Your only job is to run a few steps at launch, sit back into the harness, and enjoy the view. We brief every passenger fully on the ground before anyone clips in.
Kijabe Hill, on the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift Valley in Kiambu County. The launch sits at roughly 2,600 m above sea level with about 600 m of vertical to the valley floor. It is the oldest and most iconic flying site in Kenya, about 90 minutes by road from central Nairobi.
We fly passengers between roughly 35 kg and 110 kg. If you are close to either end, tell us when you book so we can pair you with the right wing and pilot. Height is rarely an issue.
Closed shoes with ankle support — trainers or light hiking boots are ideal. Long trousers, a light jacket or fleece, and sunglasses. It is noticeably cooler in the air than on the ground. Leave loose hats, scarves and dangling jewellery in the car.
We do not fly marginal conditions, ever. If the wind is wrong or the cloudbase is too low we will either move you to a later slot the same day or reschedule you at no cost. If neither works, you are refunded in full.
Paragliding is an air sport and carries inherent risk, but it is managed risk. We fly certified wings and harnesses, every passenger flies with a reserve parachute, our pilots are qualified tandem pilots with current ratings, and equipment is inspected before every flying day. Our weather calls are conservative by policy.
Yes. Every tandem flight includes stills and video shot from a pole-mounted camera during the flight, delivered digitally within 48 hours. If you want a dedicated second wing filming you, book the Photo & Film Flight instead.
Weekends and public holidays fill up one to two weeks ahead, especially between December and March. Weekday flights can often be arranged with a day or two of notice. Book early for sunrise and golden-hour slots.
Yes, from about eight years old and 35 kg, with a parent or guardian present to sign the consent form on the day. Younger children are usually happier watching the launch than flying it.
We do. Vouchers are valid for twelve months from the date of purchase, are transferable, and can be redeemed against any flight or course. Get in touch and we will arrange one.
